Retrograde exoplanet – It was reported here in January that the 2nd known retrograde exoplanet (planet outside our solar system that orbits in the opposite direction to its star’s rotation) had been discovered, and the comment was made that this should be unusual.

Astrogalaxy – April, 2009 Report

The Astrogalaxy team has discovered a new Mars-crossing asteroid. There is also one NEO confirmation – this is the first NEO discovered in Russia! The team discovered 13 new variable stars. Two of these stars are a double mode RR Lyrae type variable, a very rare object.
